Krating Cape – Laem Krating
The Most Remote Viewpoint in Phuket
Krating Cape is the latest viewpoint discovered in the southwest of Phuket island. It’s a tough spot to get to but if you don’t mind to walk and climb up steep slopes, this is a spot you shouldn’t miss.
How to get there: Go to Nai Harn Beach and follow the road to reach Ao Sane beach then continue to the Baan Krating Phuket resort. Then walk along the seafront cliffs past the resort for mother 100 meters. At some point you will find a small path that will take you to destination. The walk should take you 30 to 35 minutes.
Krating Cape is a place known by photographers passionate by landscape and star-photography because it’s far from light pollution!
On this cape is a “horn-shaped” rock where photographers enjoy taking those amazing photos… The panorama over the sea is very wide, especially during sunset.
Since it’s far and very hidden, I recommend to wear shoes, carry a head lamp, water, long pants and even a light waterproof jacket. See here some photos taken during sunset and during the night… Have fun.
