Ban Sam Chong Tai, Phang Nga Thailand
Ban Sam Chong Tai is a small Muslim fishing village located on the land of Phang Nga bay, about 75 km driving an hour and a half from Patong beach in Phuket. The small village of Ban Sam Chong Tai is constructed predominantly on wooden stilts and raised masonry to protect from humidity. The majority of the village people live off shellfish and other types of fish.
They leave early in the morning with their own longtail boat to collect the nets they thrown the night before. This place is very popular for passionate photographers who come here to capture beautiful and colorful sunrises that emerges behind the giant limestone mountains, as well as some amazing shots of this serene village situated along the canals.
