Four Points by Sheraton Phuket is a new 4-star resort in Patong Beach elegantly designed to host a wide range for modern travelers. With its golden location, right in front of Patong Beach, Four Points by Sheraton Phuket is ideal for couples and families who want to get away from the busy life. The resort has 600 modern rooms and suites with 8 types to choose from. Some of these have direct access to one of the 3 pools, while the others offer views of The Dek Beach Club and Patong Beach.
The massive hotel has 2 large restaurants and 3 bars. Also, it has a surprisingly large and attractive Beach Club. In addition, it also has a kid’s club and a large well-equipped gym that is open 24 hours.
The Lobby of Four Points by Sheraton Phuket is very large and cozy, with comfortable sofas and armchairs. An ideal place to meet friends enjoying a drink from the Lobby bar. Despite being a new hotel with more than 70 colorful graffiti, it does not have a Spa. However, with more than 1,000 sq m of functional space, it hosts 9 large rooms for conferences, weddings and social events. The hotel is surprisingly large! Four Points by Sheraton Phuket is a SHA Plus + certified hotel. Hence, the hotel is licensed to host international travelers under the Phuket Sandbox scheme.
The location
Four Points by Sheraton Phuket is located in the northern part of Patong Beach. This area is very quiet and obviously is the most beautiful. The main reason why the hotel is so attractive is certainly for its strategic location right in front of the famous Patong beach. Also, the hotel is only 1 kilometer from the famous Bangla Walking Street, the heart of Patong Nightlife!
The Deck Beach Club Patong
Due of its strategic location, The Deck Beach Club, overlooking Patong beach is an ideal place to spend a day in total relaxation. The Deck Beach Club Patong is a large terrace with an infinity pool with sea view. There is also a small swimming pool for children and there is a towel service for only the guests of the resort.
The terrace has a wide choice of sofas, loungers and cabanas to suit guests’ needs. Furthermore, there is also a bar where guests can enjoy a wide choice of drinks. The Deck Beach Club serves some dishes, including: various salads, pizza and burgers, grills and desserts. Now, all that remains is to sit, order and wait for a sunset. Opening hours: 11.00 – 21.00
The rooms
The Four Points by Sheraton Phuket has as 600 modern furnished rooms. Among the 8 types available, I chose to stay in the Deluxe with balcony (35sqm). The room is not very large, but with all the amenities you can expect for an international brand such as Marriott. The room is elegantly designed and well-furnished. The bed is large and comfortable with a large 55 ” led screen installed on the wall. The room has air conditioning and free WI-FI. Beside the bed there is a comfortable sofà and a small table for working or eating, but there is no desk.
What struck me are the latest generation universal electrical sockets with USB. Very convenient to charge all our devices of course. In the balcony there are 2 comfortable chairs and a small table in case guests wish to eat there. It also has a nice view towards the Beach Club and Patong Beach. The bathroom is very bright and well-designed but without a bathtub. If you want a room with a bathtub, you have to book a Suite. The Suite also has a small Kid’s club.
To reach the room on the third floor, the Four Points by Sheraton Phuket has a lift service. Very convenient to avoid stairs especially when staying on the upper floors of the hotel!
The pool
Four Points by Sheraton Phuket has a large horseshoe shape swimming pool that winds throughout the hotel. The Laguna pool is 1.2 meters high but there is also a shallower area for the kids. Moreover, it has also a pool bar with 7 swim up bar seats in the water. Very convenient for enjoying smoothies or cocktails with friends especially on a sunny day. The pool area is well-organized with lots of sun beds and umbrellas. There are also 3 comfortable cabanas for relaxing.
The restaurants
The superb 4-star resort has 2 well-known restaurants. Both restaurants are superbly designed with a cozy and elegant atmosphere. They also have a choice of indoor and outdoor dining options. Chao Leh Kitchen restaurant, serves international and Thai cuisine. The Sears & Co. Bar and Grill restaurant serves authentic Thai cuisine, grills and international cuisine.
Chao Leh Kitchen
Chao Leh Kitchen is a bright all-day dining restaurant serving international and Thai cuisine. The dining room, sensationally set up with many details, is large and welcoming. It also has a professional open kitchen, which is also beautiful to look at.
The menu is extensive and also has a good wine list. The restaurant opens at 6.30 with a rich breakfast buffet, which you will surely love. The breakfast buffet is surprisingly large that you won’t know where to start. There is a large choice of croissants, breads, cereals and there is also the fresh honeycomb. There are also different types of cheeses to choose from and there is even a slicer to cut the raw ham.
You can choose different types of juices, freshly squeezed, milk, coffee and tea. There is an attractive corner with Thai specialties nearby. It has a Noodle Soup station (Kuay Tew), Phuket Dim Sum (delicious Steamed Dumplings). A must try at Four Points by Sheraton Phuket’s signature crab curry on top of omelet. Highly recommended!
Every alternating Saturday of the month the Chao Leh Kitchen organizes the international seafood buffet dinner. Before choosing your favorite dishes, you will surely take some photos or videos of the whole buffet. The buffet dinner is surprisingly large and filling. You can choose lobsters, crabs, sea snails and prawns. Also, there are pizzas, various pasta, fried fish and a myriad of desserts and fresh fruit.
Sears & Co. Bar and Grill
The Sear & Co Bar and Grill is a superbly decorated and very cozy restaurant near the beach. The restaurant has an intelligently structured open kitchen. Also, it has a bar to enjoy evening drinks. The dining room, with an excellent tables setting, is sensationally lit with vintage light bulbs, creating a warm atmosphere.
The restaurant serves international and Thai cuisine. For dinner we treated ourselves in some excellent Grilled prawns (Jumbo Prawn) with spicy sauce. They were cooked perfectly and it’s great to share, especially if you are with your loved one. We also tried grilled Lamb Chop with mashed peanuts. A sinfully tasty dish. Highly recommended! In combination, we tried the (Pretzel) baked bread with a twisted knot shape. They are very good and inviting.
If you want to indulge in a mixed dish of fish, I recommend the Andaman Seafood Set. The set consists of lobster, prawns, scallops, crabs and squid. The Andaman Seafood Set is surprisingly good and great to share.
This Four Points by Sheraton Phuket restaurant also features a well-designed outdoor dining area with sea view. Eating outdoors is absolutely pleasant, especially if you are on a tropical island like Phuket. Sear & Co serves also great hamburgers with French fries. So for lunch I treated myself in a Four Points Burger (200g of Australian beef patty). The burger was definitely good and tasty. However, if you are really hungry, try the huge (Signature Tomahawk Burger) of 1 kilo!
The kitchen team is led by the talented Executive Chef Sumol Hirunmal, known as Chef Bird. While taking several photos of the open kitchen, I noticed that Chef Bird leads his team in harmony. Of course, preparing the dishes with skill, especially with love and passion. The executive chef also heads the team at the Chao Leh Kitchen restaurant. So, you will have the opportunity to find him in action even during the morning breakfast buffet!
Sunday brunch
In Phuket, Sunday brunch is more and more requested by gourmets, so Four Points by Sheraton has launched this new tradition to make Sunday even more special. Set in the Sears & Co Bar and Grill, well-known restaurant with the open kitchen and a view overlooking Patong Beach, the Four Points by Sheraton Phuket’s Sunday brunch is truly a class act. The marvelous view of Patong Bay is combined with gastronomic delights with a colossal combination of Surf and Turf.
The fish displays comes predominantly from the Andaman Sea, including: Phuket lobster, black crab, jumbo prawn and fresh oysters. There is also Canadian lobster which is from Canada, of course. There are also displays with a rich selection of meat from Australia.
Other highlights include pasta and a wide selection of cheese and cold cuts and there is an entire side of the restaurant devoted to desserts. In addition, outside there is a rich seafood, duck and pork barbecue station. Obviously, Four Points by Sheraton thought of preparing a large assortment of wines on display. There was also a talented saxophonist which made lively atmosphere: a true feast indeed.
Please note: Sunday brunch takes place every first Sunday of the month from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm.
The fitness
Four Points by Sheraton Phuket has a large, well-equipped and well-lit gym. The fitness centre is open 24 hours a day, located on the ground floor just adjacent to the Chao Leh restaurant. It has nearly 20 professional machines. Including: 5 treadmill, 3 bike and 3 cross trainers. In addition, there is also 1 Leg extension, 1 Lat Pulldown and many free weights.
The Kid’s Club
Due its large size, the Four Points by Sheraton Phuket also has a beautiful kid’s club. The Little Sea Gypsies Kid’s Club is cleverly colored and perfectly designed. It boasts an indoor space full of fun games and activities. There is even a very attractive wooden boat. It will surely be the first place your child will climb! The Kid’s Club also boasts an outdoor garden with a slide and various games. This is perfectly designed for children of all ages to have fun. Opening hours: 9.00 – 18.00
The crew
The staff at the Four Points by Sheraton Phuket are warm and friendly. Furthermore, they are genuinely polite and they speak English well. During my stay I discovered that some of my Thai friends work at the hotel. It was nice to meet them even though I didn’t know they worked at Four Points by Sheraton Phuket.
While I was taking photos around the resort, some staff greeted me by name. Obviously, I was shocked because I didn’t understand how they knew my name. Then I asked and I learned that many of them were my followers on my Facebook page and on Instagram too. All this makes you feel like you are at home!
